Board Member - PR/Communications
Ladonna Lindley
Learning Center Technician
Eastern Aleutian Tribes, Inc.
(907) 564-2513
pr@astdalaska.org

An out-of-the-box thinker who likes to incorporate novel approachesinto learning, Ladonna Lindley joined the Eastern Aleutian Tribes in February of 2006 after energizing rather dry and traditional Occupational Safety and Health training at the Federal Aviation Administration for six years. With creation of colorful characters like Nip Danger, the Hazard Detective, and an annoying habit of writing alternative lyrics to popular songs, she became somewhat of a legend around the Federal Building in Anchorage before huge budget cuts compelled her to seek new opportunities.Upon her arrival at the Native health care corporation, she took an immediate interest in the collaborative opportunities that the Southcentral Alaska chapter of ASTD provided, designing a monthly newsletter called "nuggets" and publicizing events with a unique flair.   A native of Indiana and graduate of Purdue University, she particularly enjoys writing verse in what spare time she might find. "Well," she explains, "it certainly doesn't reach the level of poetry but it rhymes -- most of the time."  She is currently working on rewriting the Bible in rap.
