Relevance and Allure: Re-inventing a Massive State-wide Training Conference
Join us for a presentation by Ann Lindsey, organizer behind the 2014 Governor’s Safety and Health Conference held at the Dena’ina in March. As an expert in the field of Health and Safety, she knows the power of engagement, and uses it in management of volunteers and staff to revive and re-invent an event in its 33rd iteration. Ann’s wealth of experience as a trainer in the workplace enriches her presentation: she relates stories of situations and personnel at various stages of event conceptualization, planning, preparation, implementation, and celebration and evaluation.
By attending, you will gain strategies for streamlining your planning for training events. You will also take away ideas for meeting training objectives via methods such as informal learning from vendors and colleagues, the value of well-placed recognition and rewards for participation, and concepts for selecting content specialists as presenters. Relevance and allure in real life!
