

ASTD Alaska Chapter is based in Anchorage as a chapter of the American Society for Training & Development (ASTD). ASTD Alaska serves members living throughout this large, geographically challenging state, using electronic communications to overcome distance & travel expense. The Alaska Chapter was formed in 1995 & remains a key resource to trainers & educators in adult learning settings.
ASTD is ‘the voice of the profession’ with three key messages:
- The workplace-based view on public policy inside the U.S.
- Insight into the trends affecting workplace learning & performance, provided to the media
- Collaborative efforts with associations, organizations, & educational institutions around the world

profession’s focus to link learning & performance to individual
& organizational results, & is a sought-after voice on
